LIFE 2026 — Standard Action Projects (CLIMA)
About this call
LIFE is the EU's funding instrument for environment and climate action, managed by CINEA. The Climate Action sub-programme funds the implementation of EU climate policy through three priority areas: Climate Change Mitigation, Climate Change Adaptation, and Climate Change Governance and Information. LIFE-2026-SAP-CLIMA is the 2026 call for Standard Action Projects under this sub-programme, with a total indicative budget of €60 million and a single deadline of 22 September 2026. Standard Action Projects are best-practice, demonstration, pilot, or information-and-awareness projects that deliver concrete environmental and climate outcomes. The call funds public bodies (including municipalities, regions, public utilities), private entities and NGOs established in EU Member States, EEA countries, and countries associated to LIFE. Projects typically run 3–5 years with a maximum EU contribution of 60% of eligible costs. The three topics under this call share eligibility, deadline and award criteria; they differ in scope, indicative per-project budget, and the climate priority area they target.
