LIFE 2026 — Standard Action Projects (NAT)
About this call
LIFE-2026-SAP-NAT is the 2026 call for Standard Action Projects under the LIFE Nature and Biodiversity sub-programme, managed by CINEA. The call has a total estimated budget of €173.5 million and a single deadline of 22 September 2026. It funds two topics: Nature and Biodiversity (€166 million, around 30 projects of €2–13 million each) and Nature Governance and Information (€7.5 million, around 5 projects of €1–2 million each). Standard Action Projects under this sub-programme are best-practice, demonstration, pilot, or information-and-awareness projects that contribute to the EU's nature and biodiversity legislation — including the Birds Directive, the Habitats Directive, the Invasive Alien Species Regulation, and the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 — and to the Restoration Regulation. Public bodies, private entities and NGOs from EU Member States, EEA countries, and countries associated to LIFE can apply. Single applicants are permitted. Standard EU contribution is 60% of eligible costs, with a higher rate available for certain priority habitats under the Habitats Directive.
